UK BELOVED JEWELLERY BRAND ASTRID & MIYU REACH SETTLEMENT OVER COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT WITH BELFAST-BASED RETAILER DYLAN OAKS

Cult jewellery brand Astrid & Miyu have announced settlement of a legal claim for copyright and design rights infringement against Irish jewellery retailer Dylan Oaks relating to 18 styles from the brand’s signature collections. 

Belfast-based jeweller Dylan Oaks have now formally undertaken to the English Courts not to import, possess or expose for sale, or infringe the copyright or registered design right in any of the styles which were named in Astrid & Miyu’s claim. As well as making a payment to Astrid & Miyu, Dylan Oaks have delivered all of the complained of stock to Astrid & Miyu, which will be melted down and the proceeds from this will be donated to charity. 

Astrid & Miyu have selected Glow NI as the recipient of their donation, a Belfast based charity focusing on empowering women and girls with life skills to increase confidence and self esteem.

Astrid & Miyu, a London-founded business have been in operation since 2012, becoming famous amongst Millennial and Gen Z for their service-lead jewellery business providing piercing, welding and tattoo services.
