It also explains what rights you have to access or change your personal data. Our website is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect or maintain the personal information of children under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, please do not access our website at any time or in any manner. We will take appropriate steps to delete the personal information of persons under the age of 18. This does not apply to piercing consent forms.

We collect personal information about you in order to provide a personalised experience catered to you. This also allows us to alert you to administrational, product or service changes, and for marketing purposes.

We will collect any information that you provide to us when you:
• make an enquiry, provide feedback or make a complaint over the phone, by email or on our website;
• submit correspondence to us by post, email or via our website;
• order products or services from our website;
• create an account to use the website;
• update your profile and other account details including your address book;
• subscribe to our newsletter and mailing lists;
• subscribe to receive our catalogue;

• fill in a consent form during an ear piercing consultation; this is taken as a legal requirement from local council and our insurers.
• copies of formal ID to provide proof of age for any persons under the age of 18 wishing to get pierced; this is stored securely for two years as a legal requirement
•We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices (in particular device’s IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user.
•We use the Acast ‘podsights’ attribution tool to understand our listeners experience better (e.g determining popularity over particular content) by analysing and tracking data. We use certain data collection technologies such as cookies, web beacons that are also known as pixels or pixel tags, or similar technologies that automatically collect certain information across your devices about you, your listens and visits to this or other websites (these don’t include your name, address, email address or phone number). The information collected may be used and shared with selected partners to provide you with content and advertisements of interest to you.

Piercing and tattooing consent: As a normal part of our services at A&M we collect and hold your personal data such as your name, address, telephone number, email address as well as some medical information. We do not make any of your details available to any unauthorized persons or businesses such as direct-mail or other marketing companies. The data collected on customer consent forms is stored in a safe manner on a secure server which prevents unauthorized staff, members of the public or other businesses from being able to access, copy or share any of your personal data. The only people with access to this area is our customer care manager and the piercers themselves. This data needs to be stored for a minimum of three calendar years

As an essential part of being able to provide our services to you, as set out in this statement, we will share your personal information when relevant with third parties. If you would like to know more about the third parties we share your information with please contact us.

Our website is connected to Google Analytics to help improve the experience when shopping on our site and no personal data is shared on this platform.

We may share your details with other carefully selected retail companies and charities who we feel may be of interest to you We will share your data with our CRM email marketing platform and our loyalty program. We also work with Epsilon Abacus (registered as Epsilon International UK Ltd), a company that manages the Abacus Alliance on behalf of UK retailers. The participating retailers are active in the following product categories: clothing, collectables, food & wine, gardening, gadgets & entertainment, health & beauty, household goods, and home interiors. They share information on what their customers buy. Epsilon Abacus analyses this pooled information to help retailers understand consumers’ wider buying patterns. From this information, retailers can tailor their communications, sending people suitable offers that should be of interest to them, based on what they like to buy.

The transfer will take place in the presence of appropriate safeguards, including standard data protection clauses adopted by the EU Commission.
